Raised in the rolling hills of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Matt Fowler is rolling onto the Americana scene with style. Fans are describing his new sound as “Jason Isbell meets Evan Felker (Turnpike Troubadours).”
In a world where country music is becoming ever more detached from the authentic realities of its fans, Fowler stands out by digging deep into his American midwest roots with lyrics that cut right to the heart delivered with an honest Oklahoma draw.
In 2015, Fowler began performing original music at his church in St. Augustine, Florida. Increasing requests eventually led to his first studio album titled Revitalize, a collection of gospel songs that reflect his more spiritual side. Be on the lookout in 2017 for a brand new collection of songs that Fowler anticipates will land him right in the middle of Americana/Red Dirt USA.
Currently residing in St. Augustine, Florida, Fowler performs original and cover songs every weekend in various local venues around St. Augustine with friend and fellow guitarist, Richard White. Looking to expand their audience to a broader geographical area, larger venues, and festivals, Fowler and White have teamed up with Brian Peterson on drums and Sue Tice on the fiddle to form Matt Fowler and the Warehouse Band.
Fowler has a great love for the writing in Americana/Red Dirt music. He hopes to eventually earn enough of a following to allow more time on the road and in the studio. With the support of his beautiful wife and three children, Fowler is on his way to connecting with fans all around the globe.
